Governor Douye Diri today received the new commander of the Joint Task Force, Operation Delta Safe, Rear Admiral Aminu Hassan and his entourage in Government House, Yenagoa.
“Let me on behalf of the government and people of Bayelsa state welcome you back home to Bayelsa state. I said that because you have been here before and this is your second missionary journey, but this time around, on a higher capacity.
For us, there is no politicisation of criminality and security. A criminal does not have a party coloration and so as a government, we are also not here to protect political parties but to protect Bayelsa indigenes and I believe that your coming will also help us ensure that the policies and programs of this administration particularly as it affects security will be carried out to its logical conclusion.”
