Only recently, Governor Douye Diri, was in Oporoma, headquarters of Southern Ijaw LGA alongside his deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, and other top government functionaries to commiserate with the people over the ravaging flood.
Rt. Hon. Monday Bubou Obolo, member representing Southern Ijaw Constituency 2 and Leader of the House, who hails from Oporoma community was on hand with other top government officials from the area to welcome the Governor.
On the occasion, the Governor told the people he was with them at this trying time and then renewed the commitment of his administration to complete the Yenagoa-Oporoma-Ukubie road.
This flood shall soon pass!
