“I feel very excited and happy today to receive our August Visitor the South Korean Ambassador to Nigeria, Ambassador Kim Young-Chae and his team to our dear State of Bayelsa.
Great to note that Amb. Kim is here with his lovely wife Juddy, the Consul, Chang Junwo, and Economic Counsellor, Jung Won Choi.
This visit is a follow up to my recent visit to the South Korean Embassy in Abuja, where I sought the partnership of the Ambassador in the economic development of Bayelsa State.
Today, we have presented to the team key potentials of Bayelsa in natural resources, including oil and gas, agriculture and other resources for possible investment opportunities.
I wish to specially thank Ambassador Kim for his deep interest in Bayelsa State as we seek collaboration to develop the Agge seaport and deep sea fishing potential.
As a government of prosperity, we are always open to great ideas and opportunities like this in our journey to securing massive investments that are capable of building a robust local economy for us.
It was equally good that our friend, Ambassador Kim participated in the Agriculture Exhibition of “made in Bayelsa agric products”. Indeed, a lot is possible in our agricultural drive.
In terms of security, Bayelsa State remains one of the most safest states in Nigeria and you can be rest assured that investments here would blossom and be well secured.
Let me extend our sincere appreciation and thanks to our brother and leader, retired Federal Permanent Secretary and former Nigerian Ambassador to the Scandinavian countries, Ambassador Godknows Boladei Igali, for standing firmly with us in this journey to a new and prosperous Bayelsa State.
Thanks to my able, workaholic and resourceful Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, for always standing by my side.”…SDD
