The Governor of Bayelsa State, His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri today was joined by his Osun State counterpart, Senator Ademola Adeleke to inaugurate the Phase 4 of the Igbogene-Elebele/AIT outer ring road covering a stretch between Imiringi road and AIT roundabout.
Speaking at the commissioning, Gov. Diri thanked his predecessor, Senator Seriake Dickson for his vision to initiate the road project.
“This is another testament of what you elected your Prosperity government to do. This project was initiated by the immediate past government of Senator Henry Seriake Dickson. Because of resources, the project couldn’t go as he has planned. So, when we came on board, we re-awarded it to Lubriks Construction. This is the second phase we are going to commission. We had commissioned the first phase in my second term anniversary. Now, you know Bayelsa don’t have only one road. We now have Igbogene-Imiringi-AIT road.”
Senator Ademola Adeleke who commissioned the road commended Governor Douye Diri for bringing dividends of democracy to Bayelsa State. He enjoined Bayelsans to re-elect the governor for second term.
Dignitaries at the commissioning were Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, Senator Konbowei Benson, Hon. Marie Ebikake, Hon. Oforji Oboku, Hon. Rodney Ambaiowei, Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Gideon Ekeuwei and other top government officials.
