The Bayelsa State Governor senator Douye Diri has donated a Nissan URvan 16-seater high roof 2. 5L MT to the Nigeria Union of Journalist, Bayelsa State Council.
The Governor who was represented by the Commissioner of Information, Orientation and Strategy, Hon. Ayiba Duba at Information House, Yenagoa said it is a fulfilment of government’s promise to enable the union discharge its duties effectively.
He added that Government will continue to be alive to its responsibilities by ensuring that journalism is given its place in the State.
In his response the chairman of NUJ Bayelsa State Council, Comrade Samuel Numonengi thanked the Governor for his kind gesture and pledged that the van will be properly used for the progress of the union.
