… Contractor to deliver Aguobiri bridge by July
… 7.7km Imiringi-AIT section of outer ring road almost completed
His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State in his usual style undertook an inspection visit to three ongoing road projects in the State.
The projects are Yenagoa-Oporoma-Ukubie road, Glorydrive by Ecumenical Centre and the Imiringi road -AIT section of the Igbogene-Okarki-AIT Elebele Outer Ring Road.
The contractor handling the Yenagoa-Oporoma road has assured that the Aguobiri bridge would be ready by this July as casting of the beams has commenced.
All the preliminary activities for the Angiama-Oporoma bridge have been concluded to give room for civil work to commence.
At the Glorydrive, the inspection team which had the Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Moses Teibowei, his Information, Orientation and Strategy counterpart, Ayiba Duba, Rtd. Gen. Eric Angaye, former SSA, Domestic to the President, Waripamowei Dudafa, and others drove through the road from the Ecumenical Centre end to the Amassoma road, indicating that work is progressing well.
Gov. Diri also inspected the 7.7 kilometres Imiringi road -AIT link section of the Igbogene-Okarki-AIT Elebele Outer Ring Road.
In a matter of months, motorists will be able to drive from AIT/Elebele roundabout to link the Imiringi road in Yenagoa.
Governor Diri said his government is committed to the completion of all ongoing projects.
