… as they appreciate Diri on projects in Ogbia LGA
His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State, today received the Obanobhan of Ogbia and his Council of Chiefs in Government House, Yenagoa.
The visit was to thank the Governor for his developmental intervention in Ogbia Local Government Area.
“Let me also appreciate you for the little we have done in Ogbia Local Government Area and you have come to say thank you for appreciating what we have done in terms of the construction of bridges, and roads.
I am also happy that when the Elebele bridge totally collapsed and that route was no longer used, today that bridge has been newly constructed, completed and commissioned. We are doing total reconstruction of the Onuegbum-Otuoke road. The Akaba-Ogu-Okodi road is ongoing and I was there myself.
And we are happy that by so doing we are touching the lives of our people and changing the narrative in our State.
Today, after three (3) years we are talking about projects that have been done in our Local Government in Ogbia, not talking about the manpower, skill acquisition and all that we have done.
For me, that is the road to travel. We travel on the road of development and capital development and the moment we achieve that we can also stand up tall in the committee of States so we can access our communities by road, that’s a priority to us,” Governor Diri said.
