In a bid to strengthen small scale businesses, the prosperity administration of Governor Douye Diri has continued to empower entrepreneurs in the State.
The Commissioner for Information, Orientation and Strategy, Hon. Ayiba Duba stated this during the February 2023 Edition of the financial empowerment program at the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, Empowerment and Social Development, Yenagoa.
Hon. Duba noted that the prosperity administration is so far pleased with the success of the program and has therefore increased the number of beneficiaries from the 105 wards in the 8 LGAs, from two persons per ward to four.
Earlier, the Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, Empowerment and Social Development, Hon. Faith Opene noted that so far about 3,150 persons have benefited from February 2022 to February 2023.
She therefore advised beneficiaries to prudently use the N200,000 given to each person to strengthen and expand their businesses.
The beneficiaries expressed joy, thanking the prosperity administration and promised to invest the money wisely.
