The Technical Adviser to the Governor on Entrepreneurship Development and Director General of Douye Diri Skills Acquisition & Empowerment Programme, Mrs. Charity Kens Godwin, organize a thanksgiving service in commemoration of God’s faithfulness of the successful Five (5) years of Douye Diri Skills Acquisition and Empowerment Programme.
In her speech, She is so grateful to God Almighty for seeing her through. She thanked her dear husband, Pastor Godwin Barivure Godspower who stood by her in the thickest hour of the night and that in all the audles that she face, he has been there for her.
She thanked our Miracle Governor of Bayelsa State, His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, that he is indeed a father. She thanked His Excellency, Senator Lawrence Ewrudjakpo, Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, that indeed he is a supportive Deputy Governor. She also thanked Her Excellency, Dr (Mrs) Gloria Diri, First Lady of Bayelsa State, the Secretary to State Government, Prof. Nimibofa Ayawei and the Chief of Staff Government House, Dr. Peter Akpe for their support.
Furthermore, She is indeed happy because Senator Douye Diri has brought Prosperity to Bayelsa State, it is not a thing of I will bring prosperity, there is no proclamation, this one is something that is working, thousands of youths have been empowered. Of recent, His Excellency empowered about 2,850 students with starter packs and there are still more to come.
She is giving thanks to God for the skills that have endured the test of time, God has been faithful with the Douye Diri Skills. It all started in 2021 and from that day till now, the program has been so consistent, persistent, functional and building capacity, and that is why we are here, all the Douye Diri skills students gathered here to give God praise for his strength that has actually part of this program and we are here to give glory to God Almighty.
She thanked His Excellency for believing in his people, there are many rumours going round in town that Bayelsa Youths are lazy and that today everybody is attesting to the fact that our youths are not lazy, they are hardworking, just them the platform and you will see them to strive and that is what is happening today. Our youths are now skill people that can produce paint, apply the paint bridge and also a lot of things are happening in Bayelsa State.
