… to undertake 100 free surgical operations across 8LGAs
Activities marking the 5th Anniversary of the Government of Prosperity will begin on Monday, 10th February, 2025 with Medical Outreach at Ikarama community, Okordia clan in Yenagoa Local Government Area.
His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of the State will flag off the medical outreach that will be held in several communities across the eight LGAs.
The Commissioner for Health, Professor Seiyefa Brisibe, said the Cottage Hospitals and Primary Health Centres in the LGAs had been placed on alert to draw up list of people who require minor surgical operations for action.
According to him, the medical outreach is expected to undertake not fewer than 100 free surgical operations at designated points in Ekeremor main town, Sagbama, Twon Brass, Yenagoa, Kaiama, Oporoma, Otuasega and Nembe city.
The Medical Outreach is targeted at people in the remote communities who might not have the resources to access healthcare.
