The Bayelsa State Government conducted its Monthly Transparency Briefing for February, March, and April 2024 at the Treasury Building’s Conference Hall.
Leading the briefing, Dr. Ebimowei Wodu, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, stated that the total receipts after deductions for the three months includes: 40.8 billion naira in February, 39.6 billion naira in March, and 98.1 billion naira in April.
Dr. Wodu reaffirmed the government’s dedication to completing ongoing infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing accessibility in the riverine areas of the state. Key projects include the Igbogene AIT Ring Road, the New Commissioners’ Quarters, Glory Drive, the Yenagoa/Oporoma Road, the Nembe/Brass Road, the Ogbonbiri/Toru Orua Road, and the Polaku/Sabageria Road.
In his remarks, Mr. Ifiemeya Anthony Borisei, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Information, Orientation, and Strategy, expressed gratitude to the media and other stakeholders for their support and contributions in building the state.
