Plans are on top gear for the Presidential Amnesty Programme to partner with the Bayelsa State Institute of Entrepreneurship and Vocational Training for the training of prospective trainees of the Amnesty programme in the State.

Consequently, a delegation from the Presidential Amnesty Programme Office , led by Mr. Lambert Dauemighan, Head of the Vocational Training Unit, paid a working visit to the Institute at the training center in Sampou on Monday 2nd of June 2025.

In his remarks during the visit, the Head of the delegation Mr Lambert Dauemighan noted that the aim of the visit was to inspect the institute’s facilities to determine its suitability for the training of Amnesty students.

Responding, the Institute’s Rector, Dr. Edwin Zubomodor Agbana, assured the team that the institution is well-equipped and has the necessary manpower to train and certify the students.

Dr. Agbana expressed the institute’s readiness to collaborate with the Presidential Amnesty Program, stating that they are confident in their ability to provide quality training to the students.

This development, according to him, is expected to enhance the skills and employability of Amnesty students, aligning with the program’s objectives of empowering the youths through vocational training and education.
