…. AS THEY SEEKS FOR DEVELOPMENT COLLABORATION

Today, the Kolokuma/Opokuma Legislative Forum paid a courtesy call to the Chairman of Bayelsa State Civil Service Commission, Mr. Perekiye Buruboyefe, at his office in Yenagoa.

During the visit, the forum expressed appreciation to the Chairman for granting them audience and commended him for his exemplary leadership and contributions, describing him as a worthy ambassador of the local government area (LGA).

Speaking on behalf of the forum, Mr. Ineifiye Izon, Councilor representing Ward 9, also extended their gratitude to His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State, for giving them the opportunity to serve as councillors.

They thanked Hon. Perekiye Buruboyefe for his open door policy, haven received members of the forum despite his busy schedule.

“Indeed, we are very elated to be here this morning to interface directly with you. We sincerely appreciate you for honouring our courtesy call, despite your very busy schedule”

They also stated that Mr. Perekiye has been noted for his steadfastness, dedication and commitment to duty and his selfless service to humanity.

They stated that their mission and vision is to partner with the Prosperity Government to advocate for good governance in order to support the Socio-Political Prosperity and to foster a good relationship between the People and the Government.

He appealed to the Chairman to help facilitate the provision of a befitting office complex through the state government, noting that a conducive working environment is essential for effective service delivery.

In response, Mr. Perekiye Buruboyefe, thanked members of the KOLGA Councillors Forum for the recognition of finding him worthy to be visited to chat the way forward of the prosperity agenda for the Local Government.

Mr. Perekiye John thanked the forum for the visit and emphasized the importance of collaboration in achieving meaningful development. He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that promote growth and progress, and promised to do his best to ensure the council is provided with a functional office complex to enhance legislative efficiency and local development.

He further reiterated on the need for the people of Kolokuma-Opokuma to be united and come together as one as he assured members of the forum that Kolokuma-Opokuma is in a safe hand taking into cognizance of the antecedent and pedigree of His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri before he became a Governor.

He further charged members of the forum never to relent, however he encouraged them to continue preaching peace and unity as he assured them of his unwavering support.
