The outcome of the training between the Interweave Solution, USA with the International Institute of Tourism and Hospitality in collaboration with the Thrift and Credit Cooperative Society training session has ended in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital.

The programme which took place at the Institute Auditorium originally covered cooperators on Masters in Business In The Street and Counselling In the Street.

This training is designed to build the capacity of Cooperatives to be able to diversify their incomes and to continuously remain in business.

At the end of the session, participants were presented with certificates.

Declaring the event open, the Rector of the Institute, Prof. Apuega Arikawei, thanked the Commissioner of Education, Dr. Emelah Gentle for facilitating the training. He appealed that the Ministry of Education continues to form a Nexus with Institute in the training of manpower and capacity building.

Prof. Arikawei also commended the Interweave Solution, USA and the South-South Director for the initiative charging the participants to put into practical use the experiences.

Earlier, the Commissioner for Education, Dr Gentle Emelah who was excited at the training urged the participants to justify the confidence reposed in them.

Dr. Emelah also thanked the Interweave Solution International and assured them of the Ministry’s support noting that the training is a manifestation of the prosperity administration’s focus on vocational education.

Highpoint of the event was the presentation of Professional Diploma certificates that has international recognition.
