Bayelsa State Government is set to partner the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) to open more Data Capture Centres in the 8 LGAs and 32 Rural Development Authorities (RDA) Headquarters.
The Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, made this known, when the State Director of the NIMC, Mr. Stephen Inokoba, paid him a courtesy call in Government House, Yenagoa.
The Deputy Governor, stated that establishing more centres would encourage more persons partake in the necessary registration exercise.
Senator Ewhrudjakpo who noted that Bayelsa is not the smallest State in the nation, in view of its landmass and natural resources, commended the State NIMC for their commitment in ensuring that people of the State are well captured and assured Government support.
Earlier, the State Director of the National Identity Management Commission, Mr. Stephen Inokoba, stated that the number of persons registered in the State was less than one million.
