Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State swears-in Chief Lambert Ototo and Hon. Carter Cleopas as Chairman and Commissioner of Local Government Service Commission.
Gov. Diri also swears-in Mrs Owanari Harry as Special Adviser on Investment.
Gov. Diri charged the newly sworn-in officials to work diligently and in synergy with other government agencies and officials.
“On behalf of our government, I congratulate all of you for being sworn in today.
The reforms that were enunciated by this government are all paying off in the local government sector. You were part and parcel of those reforms in executing them.
And I believe in this your second missionary journey, you will continue to uphold those reforms we have introduced in the local government system that has made our local governments to be functional.
Dignitaries at the swearing in were Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrujakpo, Speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abraham Ingobere, Hon. Richard Ibegu, Chairman House Committee on Local Government, Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Nimibofa Ayawei, Commissioners and other top government officials.
