Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, alongside his wife, Dr. Gloria Diri, attended the service of songs for the late Commissioner for Women, Children Affairs, and Social Development, Mrs. Elizabeth Timilaemi Bidei, at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Yenagoa.
Governor Diri described Mrs. Bidei as a loyal, humble, quiet, and focused individual. He noted that if her passing had been due to financial constraints, the state government had the resources to assist her. He emphasized that her loss would be deeply felt—not only by her family but also by the state government, the church, and everyone who knew her.

Delivering the sermon, Apostle Zilly Aggrey of the Royal House of Grace, where Mrs. Bidei worshipped, took his text from 1 Peter 5:17-18. He urged people to show love to one another while alive, as no one knows what the future holds.
The service was attended by several dignitaries, including Deputy Governor Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, Chief Judge Justice Matilda Abrakasa Ayemieye, members of the State Assembly, Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Nimibofa Ayawei, Chief of Staff, Dr. Peter Akpe, members of the State Executive Council, Apostle Zilly Aggrey, and other top functionaries.
