…congratulates new Chairman, Rtd Rear Admiral Gboribiogha John Jonah
Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, has met with members of the Bayelsa State Elders Council and assured them of the commitment of his administration to fast track the development of the State.
The governor who congratulated the newly elected Chairman of the council, Rear Admiral Gboribiogha John Jonah, for his emergence, said the current administration remained committed to the completion of the three ongoing Senatorial road projects.
“It is a thing of joy that, in our State, we have elders who come together to form a council and advising government, and ensuring that our State is stable, peaceful and will experience development. We acknowledge this great feat as a government and we pray that God will continue to keep, guide and bless you, even in your old age.
On behalf of your government and the good people of the State, we congratulate you for holding very reasonable and peaceful elections, and bringing in a new council of elders who have proven themselves in their professional careers, and have proven themselves to be what they are in all of their life endeavors over the years.” ~Gov. Diri stated.
The Governor then inaugurated members of the newly elected executives.
