While inaugurating the dialysis centre, the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali-Pate, lauded Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri, for prioritizing healthcare and described the facility as a significant intervention in addressing ailments such as hypertension, diabetes, and kidney failure.
The 500-bed hospital within the Bayelsa Medical Universitu, Yenagoa is replete with history of abandonment.
But Governor Diri said his administration has broken the jinx by equipping a section of the 500-bed hospital with state-of-the-art facilities and establishing the Haemodialysis Centre.
The Governor who is particular about improved public health access, directed the Commissioner for Health, Professor Brisibe, to bring the 500-bed hospital started by the DSP Alamieyeseigha’s administration to full operation by the end of this year.
Good to cheer that work is going on to that effect by the Ministry of Health to get the 500-bed hospital running for the good of the people.
Indeed, the Prosperity Government means well for Bayelsans!
