..TOPS TABLE WITH FIVE (5) GOLD FOUR (4) SILVER, AS SIX ATHLETES FROM BAYELSA NOW SELECTED TO REPRESENT NIGERIA AT THE WORLD SCHOOL ATHLETICS COMPETITION IN BAHRAIN THIS OCTOBER

As the curtain falls in the Nigeria School Sport Federation world athletics trials in Ibadan,

Bayelsa State student athletes did the state proud as the state finished tops with

5 Gold

4 Silver.

Opinion precious U-18 boys won the long jump with 7:36m jump which is a championship record.

He also won Triple jump with a leap of15:30m and also a championship record and the best in africa for U-18.

George Shalom won the 100m with 10.91.

U-18 boys which is also a championship record. He also won the 200m in 21.88sec a record also. Faye perfect U-15 boys won 200m with 22:74 championship record.

Sigah Perezide won silver in both the 100 and 200m U-18 girls.

David Michael won silver in boys U-18 100m 11:04m.

Faye Perfect won silver in 100m in 11:50.

The following students have been selected to represent Nigeria 🇳🇬 at the ISF GYMNASIADE in the Kingdom of Bahrain 🇧🇭 from October 23rd to 31 2024.

U-18 Boys

Godwin Tejiri 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay.

George Shalom 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay.

David Michael 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay.

Opinion Precious long jump, Triple jump and 4x100m relay.

U-18 Girls.

Sigah Perezide 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay.

Faye Perfect 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay.

Coordinator Nigeria School Sports Federation Mr. Godwin Adagbo used the medium to appreciate the Honourable Commissioner for Education Bayelsa State, Dr. Emelah Gentle, DG New Media and Vice Chairman Bayelsa Athletics Association, Dr. Samuel Kolawole Oredipe for making it possible for the Bayelsa Athletes to participate in the trials.
