The Bayelsa State Government has expressed its readiness to foster a strong and productive partnership with the National Orientation Agency (NOA) as a new Director assumes office in the state.

Secretary to the State Government, Professor Nimibofa Ayawei, gave the assurance during a courtesy visit by the newly posted NOA Director, Mrs. Grace Ebiakpo Olobio, to his office in Yenagoa.

Professor Ayawei described Mrs. Olobio’s deployment to Bayelsa as timely, noting the critical role the Agency plays in informing, educating, and sensitizing the public. He reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to partnering with the NOA in advancing civic awareness and public enlightenment.

He further reiterated the unwavering dedication of Governor Douye Diri to implementing people-focused policies that are transforming the state’s development landscape. “We are always open to collaborating with federal agencies and the private sector to uplift the lives of our citizens and build a greater Bayelsa,” he added.

In her remarks, Mrs. Olobio thanked the SSG for the warm reception and said her visit was to familiarize herself with the state government’s leadership and explore areas of possible collaboration.

She emphasized the importance of collective efforts in promoting government policies and programs, highlighting the role of community engagement and partnerships with traditional institutions in effectively reaching the grassroots.
