The Commissioner for Information, Orientation and Strategy, Mrs Ebiuwou Koku Obiyai, has emphasised the crucial role of accurate information dissemination, strategic public orientation, and effective media engagement in driving societal growth.
The Commissioner who pledged a cordial working relationship with staff of the Ministry, stated this during her maiden meeting with staff at the Information House in Ovom, Yenagoa.
Mrs Obiyai stressed the importance of verified and timely information dissemination in shaping public perceptions. She therefore urged staff to embrace professionalism, creativity and technological advancement in the discharge of their duties.
Earlier, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr Anthony Ifieamiya Borisei welcomed the Commissioner and expressed confidence in her ability to propel the Ministry forward.
He stated that with her leadership qualities the Ministry of Information is poised to play a pivotal role in promoting government policies and programmes for the progress of the State.
