… creates new Ministries of Youths, Blue Economy, Culture, Community Devt, General Duties

… redeploys Koku Obiyai, Preye Brodericks to Information, Transport

His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State has today again, sworn in fifteen (15) new Commissioners into the State Executive Council, making them a total of twenty-nine (29).

Recalled that the Governor had on the 29th of April, 2024, sworn in fourteen (14) Commissioners.

The ceremony took place inside the Executive Council Chambers of Government House, Yenagoa.

The newly appointed Commissioners are, Hon. Alfred Watson Belemote (Community Development), Chief Thompson Amule (Local Government and Chieftaincy), Prof. Seiyefa Brisibe (Health), Hon. Ebi Ben Ololo (Environment), Hon. Alalibo West (Special Duties, East), Geku Godspower (Culture) and Mandy Sylvanus Akpalo (Special Duties, Central)

Others are; Prof. Bekei Sese (Agriculture), Alfred Kemepadei Nimizigha (Youths), Dr. Faith Izibenua Zibs (Blue Economy)Onuma Johnson ( Special/General Duties), Chief Godspower Oporomo (Ijaw National Affairs), John Alah (Tourism Development), Mr Odoko Saturday Omiloli (Labour, Employment, Productivity), and Gibson Munalayefa (Communications, Science).

Governor Diri, in his charge, urged them to work for the development of the State.

“By the oath you have taken, you have pledged to work towards the greater interest of our State. I expect nothing less from you.

On behalf of the people and Government of Bayelsa, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to each of you”, Governor Diri stated.
