… urges Bayelsans to engage in regular physical exercise
Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, today led the weekly Prosperity Walk and was joined by the Leader of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Monday Bubou Obolo, other lawmakers, Deputy Chief of Staff, Mr. Irorodamie Komonibo, newly sworn-in Commissioners and other top government functionaries.
After the walk, the Governor participated in the draws for the 2024 edition of the Prosperity Football cup tournament held at the Main bowl, Samson Siasia Sports Complex, Ovom.
Senator Diri also presented kits to a few of the participating football teams- men, women and para teams.
The Governor while congratulating the Central Planning team for the grassroots tournament led by Mr. Ono Akpe, said the government would continue to support such endeavours to meaningfully engage the young people.
“Teams should compete fairly and I request good officiating too. Congratulations to all the participating teams”, Gov. Diri stated.
