The Bayelsa State Committee on Education Fair and Exhibition has submitted its report to the State Commissioner Dr Gentle Emelah in his office in Yenagoa.

The Committee which was earlier set up by the Commissioner for Education Dr Gentle Emelah, was billed to come up with a framework to, among areas; deepen the vocational and technical education drive in the ASSURED prosperity vision of the Sen. Douye Diri led Government; diversify education to innovation and technology; and to facilitate the Maiden BAYELSA STATE EDUCATION FAIR AND EXHIBITION, is made up of FOUR.

The Committee is led by Mr. Simon-Peter Okene Permanent Secretary Bayelsa State Ministry of Education including Barr. Warmate Jones Idikio, Professor Ebimieowei Etebu and Onisoman Kos- Ikah.

Receiving the report, Dr Emelah noted that the Fair and Exhibition will be a groundbreaking and data driven initiative to discover gifted and innovative young scholars in Tertiary and Technical Secondary Schools in a bid to practically proffer solutions to solve immediate challenges through technology and innovation and in turn win prizes.

Technical and Innovation is the standard of education today all over the globe and over here in Bayelsa, we can not afford to be left out. Kudos to His Excellency, Sen. Douye Diri Executive Governor of Bayelsa State for championing this educational policy here in our dear State.
