The Bayelsa State Drug Abuse Addiction Prevention and Rehabilitation Committee (BADAPARC) led by the Chairman Pharm. Peter Owonaro PhD, visited New Total Child Academy (Secondary School) in Yenagoa, on Friday, May 30, 2025, to educate and inspire staff and students to reject every form of drug abuse and embrace wellness.
Other members of the team included Pharm. (Dr) Charles Ronari Owaba, Pharm. Timinipre Isarah, Mrs Uno Ikwo and Mr. Benjamin Efun.



Following a warm welcome by the school’s Principal, Mr. Emeka Njemanze, the speakers addressed the students in an interactive session, highlighting the dangers of drug abuse on individuals, families and communities.
Speaking further, they emphasised the importance of making positive life choices, advising the students to steer clear of drug abuse and other social vices that could hinder their future prospects.
