The Bayelsa State Ministry of Health, on behalf of the government and the people of Bayelsa State, formally received a delegation from the Centre for Clinical Care and Clinical Research Nigeria (CCCRN) during a courtesy visit in Yenagoa.
CCCRN, a leading healthcare-focused organization with a strong presence in Nigeria, is dedicated to advancing clinical care and research, especially in low- and middle-income countries. The organization’s mission centers on improving health outcomes by integrating quality clinical services with research and capacity building initiatives.



While addressing the visiting team, the Honourable Commissioner for Health, Professor Seiyefa Brisibe, expressed appreciation for the visit and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to partnering with CCCRN to enhance healthcare delivery and policy development in the state. He emphasized the importance of incorporating local content in service delivery and acknowledged the valuable contributions of development partners, international organizations, corporate entities, and individuals towards the government’s achievements over the past year.
In his remarks, Mr. Andrew Amejuma Eshetowa, who led the CCCRN delegation, commended the Bayelsa State Government for its strides in healthcare development, emergency response initiatives, and collaborative efforts. He reiterated the commitment of CCCRN and its partners, including Heartland Alliance and others, to supporting the state’s efforts in strengthening its health workforce and systems.
