Bayelsa State Commissioner for Information, Orientation, and Strategy, Hon. Ebiuwou Koku-Obiyai, has reiterated the Ministry’s readiness to collaborate with sister agencies in the state to effectively inform, educate, and enlighten the public on government policies and programmes.

Hon. Koku-Obiyai made this known during a courtesy visit by the management teams of the Bayelsa State Directorate of Flood and Erosion Control and the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Bayelsa State, to her office at the Information House in Yenagoa.

She emphasized that as the government’s communication arm, the Ministry remains committed to supporting and partnering with relevant agencies to promote the Prosperity Agenda of the present administration. She added that numerous impactful projects are ongoing across the state, and it is essential they are communicated to the public.

Speaking earlier, the Director General of the Directorate of Flood and Erosion Control, Surveyor Wilson Omuso, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to engage the Commissioner. He explained that the visit aimed to familiarize her with the Directorate’s activities and seek collaboration to enhance public awareness.

In the same vein, the South-South Director of the National Orientation Agency in Bayelsa State, Mr. Ibor Itu, advocated for a strategic partnership with the Ministry. He underscored the importance of synergy between both institutions, given their shared mandate in public enlightenment.
