Bayelsa Commissioner for Health Prof. Seiyefa Brisibe was part of the team as the state government in collaboration with the Red Cross Society distributed tokens to households in Yenagoa and Ogbia Local Governments.
In his remarks, the Health Commissioner noted that the tokens were intended to assist families impacted by recent floordings across the State, with a commitment to reach all LGAs and communities effectively.



Prof. Brisibe added that the distributions were to significantly alleviate some of the challenges faced by affected families, and it’s great to see the collaboration between organizations and local governments to provide relief in times of need.
The Commissioner maintained it was aimed at enhancing robust health care, improving access to health, and as well add value to public hygiene and definitely reduce disease prevalence and build a healthier society, especially among the vulnerable populace.
He therefore on behalf of the Ministry and the Governor of the State, expressed gratitude to the Red Cross Society for their invaluable contributions in aiding communities during challenging times, and also encouraged members of the communities to continue in their support for the prosperity government of Senator Douye Diri.
