Governor Douye Diri has received 180 Bayelsa youths who recently successfully completed a sponsored training program in soiless farming in Ogun State and charged them to make the best of the skills acquired to become agro-entrepreneurs.
The governor had already set up a committee charged to work out the modalities to set the trainees up for commercial agriculture in the state.
‘’You are our next generation of technical famers in Bayelsa State. Thank you for representing Bayelsa State positively outside the state and we hope and pray that you will do well and make money for yourself”, he said.
The Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr. Alfred Kemepado, appreciated the Governor for the programme that was carried out in partnership with American multinational payment card services, Mastercard Inc.
Some of the beneficiaries thanked Governor Diri for the opportunity with a promise to make the best use of the skill acquired.
