….. SAYS SCHOOL HAS PRODUCED GREAT PERSONALITIES

… ENCOURAGES STUDENTS TO BE HARDWORKING

Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri today, attended opening of the founder’s day celebration of Government Secondary School, Odi in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area.

Governor Diri who is an alumnus of the school stated that the institution has produced great personalities in society who are doing well in their various fields, stating that it is a thing of joy, coming back to his root.

The governor further encouraged students of the school to be hardworking for them to be great in future.

“It is a thing of joy, knowing and coming back to your root, and anybody who does not know where he is coming from, will not also know where he is going to.

The essence of this gathering is for the students of Government Secondary School, Odi to realize that wherever you go to school, God’s destiny will shine on you. You can see the array of personalities who have graduated from this school, doing very well in their various fields.

To the students, wherever you are, study very hard, so that you can be great tomorrow,” Governor Diri stated.

Dignitaries at the founder’s day celebration include, Rt. Hon. Julius Pondi, member representing Burutu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, other Alumnus of Government Secondary School, Odi which include ESV Moses Teibowei, Honourable commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Mr. Irorodamie Komonibo, Deputy Chief of Staff, government house, Brigadier General Eric Angaye (Rtd.), Security Coordinator and Coordinator of the Bayelsa Community Safety Corp, Hon. Lelei Tariye Isaac, Executive Chairman of Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area, members of the state executive council, other members of the Alumni, traditional rulers, women, staff and students of Government Secondary School, Odi and other top government officials.
