The Bayelsa State Ministry of Information, Orientation and Strategy is committed to advocating and promoting the learning and chanting of the state’s anthem by all residents.

The commissioner for Information, Orientattion and Strategy, Mrs. Ebiuwou Koku-Obiyai stated this while presenting four thousand pamphlets and two hundred CDs of the national and state anthems to the Commissioner for Education Dr. Gentle Emelah in his office on Monday, February 3, 2025.

Mrs. Ebiuwou Koku-Obiyai who said the chanting and acting on the words in the anthems will foster unity and drive development, highlighted that the anthem is more than just a formal song, describing it as a prayer for peace and prosperity.

The Information Commissioner expressed her belief that the more we chant and pray for our State, the state will become better.

Receiving the items the state commissioner for Education, Dr. Gentle Emelah assured that the items will be delivered to primary and post primary schools boards for onward distribution to pulpils.

The Education Commissioner said the approach being adopted by the state Ministry of Information, Orientation and Strategy will inspire residents to actively contribute to the ongoing developmental initiatives of the Senator Douye Diri’s Administration.
