Members of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly Committee on Works, yesterday embarked on an inspection tour of ongoing projects across the state for on-the-spot assessment and ensure the projects are executed to specification.
Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Surv. Moses Teibowei, conducted the lawmakers led by the Committee Chairman, Hon. Bernard Kenebai, to inspect various projects as ongoing Angiama-Oporoma bridge, Dualisation of Tombia-Amassoma road, Gloryland drive phase 3, Opolo -Elebele road dualisation, new commissioners and legislative quarters at New Yenagoa City, Onopa, and the Imgbi junction bridge.
Addressing newsmen Chairman of the Committee, Retired Colonel Kenebai, who said the project tour was part of the committee’s oversight functions, noted that members were satisfied with the quality of work done at the various sites.
Hon. Kenebai, who hinted that the level of work done at sites was commensurate with the funds released, appreciated the governor for the judicious use of funds earmarked for projects across board.
The lawmaker commended CCECC for its unwavering commitment to delivering projects within stipulated timeline while maintaining compliance with highest quality standards.
In a remark, State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Surv. Teibowei, noted that government is working assiduously to ensure that the projects are completed at the stipulated time.
