Peremabiri Attacks:
His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State, has set up a 10-man Peace and Security Committee chaired by Senator Moses Cleopas, to find an enduring and lasting peace in Peremabiri community.

The committee has one month to complete the assignment.
“The committee is to find out the immediate and remote causes of the crisis. Within this period, there shall be no recognised chiefs in the community. Also, there is no CDC chairman for now. The security agents will remain in Peremabiri for now to ensure peace”, Gov. Diri, said.

Members of the committee are:
1. Senator Moses Cleopas – Chairman
2. Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Diriyai Dambo, SAN – Secretary
3. Hon. Preye Influence Oseke
4. SSG, Dr. Konbowei Friday Benson
5. Technical Assistant on Conflict Mgt., Mr. Boma Sperrow-Jack
6. Special Adviser on Security 1 – Mr. Agberebi Akpoebi
7. Special Adviser on Security 2- Mr. Felix Awoitega
8. The IYC Central Zone Chairman, Comrade Clever Inodu
9. His Royal Majesty, King Joshua Igbugburu
10. His Royal Majesty, King Bubaraye Dakolo.
In the same vein, Bayelsa Govt. Sets up Peace Committee on recent disturbances in Egbema-Angalabiri, Ekeremor LGA
A 5-man peace committee has been constituted to identify the immediate and remote causes of recent disturbances in Egbema Angalabiri community.
His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State, announced the committee during the State Executive Council meeting.
The Secretary to the State Government, Rt. Hon. Konbowei Friday Benson, is to chair the committee.
The committee has one month to complete the assignment.
