… urges Bayelsans to contribute to development of the State
Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri has assured the people of the state that the prosperity government will not disappoint them in his second term in office.
Governor Diri made the assurance at the 124th executive council meeting in Government House, Yenagoa.
The governor while thanking Bayelsans, both at home and abroad, for their contributions toward the success of his re-election, urged them to contribute to the development of the state.
Governor Diri also thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for ensuring that the November 11th governorship election in the state was free and fair.
“Again and again, when we have opportunities like this, we want to thank all citizens of Bayelsa State, both at home and abroad, who have contributed positively toward the success of the Bayelsa elections that has been adjudged as one of the freest, transparent and open elections that the people expressed their will and their wishes, and have returned this government for a second term.
We urge you all to continue to stand by your government. As we did not disappoint you in our first tenure, we will again, not disappoint you in our second tenure. I, therefore, call on all Bayelsans, both at home and abroad, professionals and non professionals, to contribute toward the development of this state,” Governor Diri stated.
